The existing stairwells, breezeways, and balconies of the historic building did not meet code for handrail height.
RHD fabricated and installed extensions to all existing handrails and guardrails that fit over the existing railings, preserving the look and character of the original architecture. We also refinished the main interior stairwells of the East Building, including the existing handrails.
